I started this sewing project winter before last with my friend Sierra before I was ever pregnant or knew that she was. We were making one for a friend and decided we wanted to do one for ourselves as well. The idea with this play mat is that the ribbons and Velcro loops can hook on to toys, so that the baby doesn't always knock them away during tummy time. Also, it helps you be able to pick everything up with one snatch. Mine has little bees on it.
